Our Family of Schools
Our family of world-class schools share the values and ethos, and the commitment to academic and all-around excellence and education innovation, that has always been at the heart of our home school, Wellington College.
WCI currently has 6 International co-educational 3-18 schools. Our partnership approach is very much in evidence in our schools, who are unique schools for to their local community setting, but are all palpably Wellington in their ethos and aspirations. Each either are – or are on their way to becoming – the best International schools in their regions.
Wellington College China
We currently have 5 schools in China with WCC, located in the cities of Tianjin, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Information about each of these is to be found in this section. Three are International schools, open to international students, and two are bilingual Chinese schools which are open to Chinese nationals.
Joy Qaio, who owns WCC, is passionate about Wellington, and about education. She is also an outstanding business leader. WCC currently educates over 4500 pupils and they continue to grow year on year, despite a declining international student market currently. All the schools have bespoke, premium campuses with world-class facilities, and deliver a holistic Wellington education with excellent academic outcomes.
WCC has also founded the Institute of Learning, for research and development in education. A major area of focus is bilingual English/Mandarin teaching, but other recent areas include independent learning and e-learning.
Wellington College International Bangkok
WCI Bangkok was opened in 2018 by our partners Gurdist Chansrichawla and Darika Lathapipat. Both come from strong education backgrounds and are true partners in their impressive commitment to education quality and the values of Wellington College. The school benefits from a fine quality and forward-thinking campus, that supports the very best holistic education. In a competitive market, the school is growing strongly and is already recognised for its outstanding achievements.
